About Song Circles

Music feels different when artists show up for one another.

I’m Stella Witz, an emerging indie-folk singer-songwriter and a student at the USC Thornton School of Music.

I care deeply about making music. I also care about the people making it. Some of my favorite moments in the music world happen when independent artists share what they know, pass along a song they love, or give another musician the encouragement to keep going.

I started Song Circles because releasing music can feel strangely lonely. You can spend months writing, recording, revising, and wondering whether a song is finally ready. Then you release it into the world and hope someone stops long enough to really listen.

Song Circles is meant to make that moment feel more human.

It brings independent artists together in small circles where support moves both ways. Artists listen to one another’s releases, leave thoughtful responses, share the music they believe in, and follow through when release day arrives.

This is not about chasing empty numbers or trying to manufacture attention. It is about giving every song a real first wave of listeners and helping independent artists feel less alone when they share their work.

Who’s behind it

A very small team.

Song Circles is not a giant company or a faceless platform. It is a small, artist-led project being built for people who care deeply about independent music.

I run Song Circles, shape the artist experience, and work to keep the music at the center of every decision.

My dad helps with the technical side. I bring the ideas, the artist perspective, and occasionally a request that sounds much simpler than it actually is. He helps turn those ideas into working buttons.

What we believe

The promises behind every circle.

  • 01

Every song deserves a real listen.

  • 02

    Support should move both ways.

  • 03

Thoughtful responses matter more than empty engagement.

  • 04

Independent artists should not have to ask for every bit of support alone.

  • 05

A small circle that follows through can make release day feel much bigger.
